Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus Jordan, has successfully completed the terms of his DUI sentence, paving the way for the charges to be dropped. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Marcus has fulfilled all the requirements set by the court, including writing an apology to the arresting officers.
Background of the Arrest
In February 2025, Marcus was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence in his Lamborghini SUV. The vehicle became stuck on train tracks, and during questioning, the police noted that Marcus smelled like alcohol, had slurred speech, and bloodshot eyes. A police report revealed that Marcus had been at a gentleman’s club prior to the incident.
Charges and Plea Deal
As a result of the arrest, Marcus was charged with DUI and possession of ketamine, a powerful hallucinogenic drug. Initially, he pleaded not guilty to all charges. However, he later reached a plea deal with the prosecutors, which included random drug testing, a $1,000 fine, installation of an interlock device on his car, and completion of 50 hours of community service. Marcus was also required to write an apology letter to an officer he had argued with during his arrest.
Substance Abuse Issues and Personal Life
It’s worth noting that Marcus has been open about his struggles with substance abuse in the past. In previous interviews, he has spoken about his addiction issues and how they have affected his personal life. Despite these challenges, Marcus has shown a commitment to recovery, stating that he has been sober for six months and remains the ‘life of the party.’
