Patrick J. Adams, the former costar of Meghan Markle in the popular TV series Suits, has finally received a batch of her famous homemade jam. The news came after Adams publicly expressed his disappointment at not receiving any of the jam when it was first launched.
Background on the Jam
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, had sent out her homemade jam to several friends and acquaintances, but Adams was noticeably left out. The jam, which is part of her As Ever collection, includes flavors such as orange marmalade, raspberry spread, and strawberry spread. Adams, who played the love interest of Markle’s character in Suits for seven seasons, joked that he didn’t receive any jam because he didn’t have enough followers on social media.
The Podcast Appearance That Started It All
Adams’ comments about not receiving the jam were made during an appearance on Amanda Hirsch’s podcast, Not Skinny But Not Fat. Hirsch, the host of the podcast, had received a batch of the jam and was treating it like a precious treasure, refusing to even open the packaging. Adams jokingly asked if she was treating the jam like a champagne, and pointed out that preserves have a limited shelf life and would eventually go bad if not consumed.
Two days after the podcast episode was released, Meghan Markle reacted to Adams’ comments, and it seems that she took his words to heart. Adams recently posted a photo on Instagram of the five As Ever branded jams he received from Markle, along with a caption expressing his gratitude.
