At the recent Country to Country festival, Dickerson had the opportunity to share the stage with his idol, and he couldn\u2019t help but gush over the experience.<\/p>\n

A Hero in the Making<\/h2>\n

During an interview with Page Six at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Dickerson reflected on his time with Urban at the festival. The country star was nominated for Favorite TikTok Dance for his viral hit, \u201cHappen to Me,\u201d but he couldn\u2019t resist talking about his encounter with Urban. \u201cAfter every night, I was like, \u2018I love you so much, you\u2019re my hero,'\u201d he said, adding that he doesn\u2019t \u201csay this to anybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dickerson\u2019s admiration for Urban goes back to his early days as a musician. Dickerson joked that he\u2019d \u201clook over\u201d during the performance and say to himself, \u201cOh, s\u2013t, he\u2019s still there!\u201d Despite not getting to play together, Dickerson said that Urban\u2019s presence was a huge motivator for him. \u201cNow [Urban] knows I can rip. And maybe one day I can get up and rip with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked by Page Six about Urban\u2019s next chapter of life following his divorce from Nicole Kidman, Dickerson said he thinks the Australian country icon is \u201cdoing great.\u201d While noting that he didn\u2019t get to spend \u201ctons of time\u201d with Urban, Dickerson said he \u201cseemed in good spirits.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dickerson believes that Urban\u2019s focus on music will continue to be a driving force in his life. \u201cHe\u2019s always been focused on music, and so I think he\u2019s just kind of doubling down on that, and it\u2019s just beautiful,\u201d he said. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to hear what comes out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
